Position:          Applications Engineer (Support and Services)
Reports to:      Manager, E3.series Support and Services
Education:       BSEE, BSCS, or Equivalent
Location:         USA
Status:             Full-time

Provide application technical expertise relative to the sale, deployment and support of Zuken’s E3.series software suite to a wide range of North American industries (automotive, military, aerospace, machinery, power). The E3.series software suite focuses on the design and verification of electro-mechanical control schematics, control panel layouts, interconnection diagrams, wiring, cabling, and wire harness assemblies. Primary job responsibilities include gathering, assessing, and documenting customer requirements (including custom software requirements), developing and reviewing Statements of Work, planning and managing service delivery projects, assisting customer and other Zuken technical staff with implementing E3.series solution, troubleshooting and resolving customer usage topics. Secondary job responsibilities include presenting and demonstrating solution to meet customer requirements, assisting with the developing of technical proposals, and assisting Sales team with customer evaluations and studies.

Minimum:  Five years’ experience as a field applications engineer or design engineer.  Hands-on CAD experience with one or more schematic capture tools. Technical writing and software specification development experience. Project planning and management experience. Ability to perform all of the above in a leadership role.

Preferred:  Ten + years’ experience as a field applications engineer focused on cabling and wire harness design. Proficiency in technical writing, specification development (including software), and project management, and experience in a leadership capacity.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, have outstanding communication skills (both verbal and written), the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, and proven leadership skills.  Must be capable of working in both a team environment and individually.  Strong customer relation skills a must.  The ideal candidate will spend 25% to 50% on-site with Zuken customers in multiple locations within North America.
