ZIW 2021 Attendee Pulse Survey

As corporate travel restrictions begin to ease and states continue to open up, we see reassuring signs that we'll once again be able to meet in person. To help our team prepare for that time, Zuken USA has launched the ZIW Attendee Pulse Survey — a dedicated information gathering tool focused on the future of the Zuken Innovation World June 2021 Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona.

If you have attended, plan to attend, or will consider attending ZIW, please take two quick minutes to respond to the Pulse Survey. Your feedback is important to us. Submissions will remain anonymous.

eBook
Digital Engineering for Electrical & Electronic Design

This eBook describes an MBSE based process for Electrical and Electronic design. The eBook begins with model content and structure with the purpose of implementation and the need for a “design envelope”.

The biggest challenge in MBSE gaining broad adoption is making the model relevant through the product life cycle. Learn how you can overcome this daunting hurdle while maintaining the model as the single source of truth.

Driving Smart Manufacturing with E3.series
By: Sanu Warrier

An immature design or manufacturing process invariably leads to excess complexity. In some cases, complexity is good, but manufacturing is not one of those cases. The manufacturing process is complex because it has evolved over time. Evolution in principle is an eventuality and not a grand plan. These complex and manual processes need a holistic overhaul to gain efficiency and see savings.

The saying “A craftsman is only as good as his tools” still holds true today, particularly when it comes to wire harness assembly. Assembling a wire harness is a complex process. A manufacturing technician relies on precise instructions to both plan and layout a harness onto a nail-board. The challenge is the engineering team must supply the necessary information while also making it to be easy to understand. The toughest part of the challenge is to supply all the desired information on a static drawing. The static nature of a drawing often results in a considerable amount of information packed into a small area, which can lead to human error and rework.
